During Lockdown, in the months of March and April, finding myself like everyone else stuck at home, I decided to restore this statue of Pan. It is the first statue I made back in 1985. The context of that period in Damanhur was really fascinating, we were in the middle of the Battle of Art with 6 teams competing with each other and all Damanhurians engaged in discovering their talents and building Damanhur. During this great artistic revolution, I fell in love with sculpting and, being the year of the Pan's awakening , I decided to dedicate him a statue. It was my first important work. After so many years exposed to the elements, the statue needed restoration and so I...
The Damanhurian Prayer Stones were created to combine the properties of minerals with the archetypal meanings of the symbols in the Sacred Damanhurian language. Sacred Language is a form of language introduced by Falco Tarassaco - founder and spiritual guide of Damanhur - based on phonetic, ideogrammatic and movement language. According to Falco's teaching, it is a language dating back to an era in which humanity was the master of all the profound meanings and values of existence. Wearing these symbols and their respective meanings helps to direct thoughts and actions in the desired direction, brings awareness and clarity, attracts synchronic events important for spiritual growth. Thanks to my initiatic journey in Damanhur I...
Sculpture Courses take place in my workshop at Damanhur Crea. I have been teaching Basic, Inermediate and Advanced courses for individuals and groups for many years. There is monthly course for the creation of one's own Personal "Statuetta", an important element of the initiatic Damanhurian path. New initiates shape clay and create a sculpture representing themselves and it is very fascinating to see how people imagine themselves and how they wish to appear in this form. I teach the techniques needed for clay modeling and painting and help people find their own artistic inspiration. The laboratory where the courses are held is and has been the place where many of the sculptures present in the Temples of Humanity have taken and take shape....
This statue is a representation of the Great Star Mother who, with her arms stretched upwards, connects to the vault of heaven and becomes a bridge between heaven and earth. It is a divine representation connected to the lunar phases of the Oracle of Damanhur and is located at the beginning of the Canal of Birth in Damjl. The statue is made of Pietragiovane, a mixture that i invented and that is resistant to atmospheric agents. It is the same material used for all the sculptures in the Temples of Humanity. I like to think of it as a "school" statue; my students participated in its creation, in one of my workshop at Damanhur Crea which lasted a year. ...
